What are the minimum requirements?
High School Diploma or GED, Valid CA Drivers License • 18 years old to enter (may apply before your 18th birthday) Negative Drug Test.
What is the entrance process?
#1 Fill out our online application. #2 Take an entrance exam. #3 Committee interview.
Is there tuition or any fee requirements?
There is no charge for the training. Graduate debt-free.
What kind of income can I expect?
Start – $24/hr plus benefits ($40/hr package). Pay increase every six months until graduation. Journeyman pay at graduation – $53/hr plus benefits ($88/hr package).
How long is the program?
Program Commitment is 5 years from start to graduation.
Is this an accredited program?
Yes, our Apprenticeship is accredited at the state level by the Department of Industrial Relations and at the federal level by the Department of Labor.
Can I convert my courses into college credits?
Yes, courses may be converted to college credits.
What areas do you cover?
We cover the Tri-Counties of the coastal region of California – San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura.
Where are the training centers located?
Training centers located in Nipomo, Santa Maria, and Ventura.
What certifications do you offer?
Available Credentials and Certificates: Mechanical Acceptance Testing Technician Certification, Welding Certification, Authorized Welding Training Facility, Authorized Testing Facility for MATTs.
